Dr Susan Rowe

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Susan Rowe (Susan) is a Clinical Psychologist, AHPRA Board Approved Supervisor and mental health researcher.

Susan provides treatment for adults, children and families. She provides treatment of childhood mental health difficulties and has worked as a therapist since 2008. Susan provides treatment to children and adults of all ages but in particular treats children with emotion regulation difficulties and adults with relationship difficulties. She also has extensive experience in treating children and adults affected by trauma and completed her Doctor of Philosophy on the study of resilience throughout the lifespan. She has predominantly worked as a psychologist in child and family-based services and has worked as a consultant to corporate companies and as a lecturer in psychology.

Susan is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and a Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists. Susan is an IEDTA registered provider of Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, a brief therapeutic approach that is effective for most mental health concerns and in treating persistent psychological problems. She has completed advanced training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) and is currently completing advanced training in Affect-State Therapy, an attachment theory based affect-focused short term dynamic psychotherapy. Additionally, she has training and experience in Circle of Security, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy).
